The Hood ‘Ohana
We’re Jim and Beth Hood, owners and hosts for Live Memento Mori. We’re entrepreneurs, parents, authors, and homesteaders who’ve embraced the “Memento Mori” mindset – remembering life is short and making every moment count.
We’ve been married for 23 incredible years, and we have a nine year old daughter (Nora), 2 cats (Ruby & Nia) , 2 rabbits (Annie & JP), and 32 chickens (most, but not all of them have names)!
We wear a number of hats in addition to running Live Memento Mori. Jim is an IT professional and owner of Mobile Computer Doctor and a financial strategist specializing in life insurance and the “Bank on Yourself” method through Get Financial Liberty. Beth runs a web design firm at Websites with Aloha, leads Nora’s home education, and teaches entrepreneurship in their local youth community.
From our 18 years in Hawaii to our current adventure on an Arkansas homestead, we’ve lived this philosophy of “Memento Mori”. If you want to listen to our full story, we really get into that in Episode 1. Through our podcast and this project, we’re here to inspire you to seize each day, strengthen your relationships, secure your future, and leave a lasting positive impact.
